How buying, selling and payouts work on TradeFrogs.
TradeFrogs is a marketplace where you buy and sell CS2 skins with other players. The item moves straight from the seller's Steam inventory to yours through a Steam trade offer. TradeFrogs never holds the item; it holds the payment until the trade is final on Steam, then releases it to the seller.
Yes. You can withdraw your sales income to your bank account. The Withdrawals section explains how.
Everything on TradeFrogs runs in USD: balance, listing prices, sale fee. You can choose to see prices in EUR or TRY from the top menu. That only changes the display; your card is charged in USD.
Every listing shows the item's Steam Market price as a reference. The discount shows how far below that reference the listing price is. If there is no Steam price for an item, no reference or discount is shown.
You pay from your balance; if it isn't enough, add funds first.
First check the requirements for buying. Then copy your current trade link from steamcommunity.com/my/tradeoffers/privacy (opens in a new tab) and save it to your profile again. If you created a new link on Steam, the old one no longer works.
The seller has 30 minutes to accept the sale and 2 hours after that to send the offer. You get a notification when the offer reaches Steam. Once you check and accept it there, the item lands in your inventory.
After 30 minutes you can cancel the purchase and the amount returns to your balance. You can also keep waiting; the sale doesn't cancel on its own. If you cancel, the seller is fined. Opening a support ticket won't speed the seller up.
First make sure your Steam inventory is public. If the seller hasn't accepted the sale yet, you can cancel after 30 minutes. If they accepted and the offer doesn't arrive in time, the amount returns to your balance automatically; no support ticket needed.
If the offer shows on the site but won't open on Steam, the seller may not have confirmed it in their Steam mobile authenticator yet.
The moment you accept on Steam, the trade is final and can't be refunded. Before accepting:
Don't accept the offer. Open a support ticket and attach a screenshot of the offer. In these cases the amount is usually refunded to your balance automatically; if you're fined anyway, see I was fined unfairly. If you already accepted, the trade is final and can't be refunded.
The amount returns to your balance automatically. You can buy another item with it or ask support for a refund to your card. Card refunds take 5–10 business days and are usually only possible if the deposit hasn't been spent on the site. The seller who didn't deliver is fined.
The system decides automatically which side missed its step, and it can occasionally get it wrong. If you think a fine is a mistake, open a support ticket with your evidence (screenshots, trade offer details).
The sell page shows the rules the first time you open it. To sell you need:
No phone number is required.
When your item sells, a 5% sale fee is deducted from the sale price; buyers pay no fee. If the sale fee comes to a fraction of a cent, it's rounded up to the next cent, with a minimum of $0.01. For example, a $0.03 sale has a $0.01 sale fee. For withdrawal fees, see Is there a withdrawal fee?
The lowest listing price is $0.03. The upper limit is set by the overpricing check, which looks at market value. There's no limit on how many items you can list. The sell screen suggests the item's Steam Market price.
The sell page only shows items that are tradable right now and not listed yet. If an item is missing:
If you don't accept within 30 minutes, the buyer can cancel. If the buyer cancels, you're fined 4% of the sale price. If you'll be away from your sales for a while, turn on Away mode.
If you don't send the offer within 2 hours of accepting, the sale is cancelled, the buyer is refunded automatically and you're fined 4% of the sale price. Don't send the item after you get the message that the sale is being cancelled; payment for an item sent after that point isn't guaranteed.
You may be unable to send because of a trade restriction or because the buyer's inventory is private.
If the item leaves your inventory before it sells, its listing is removed automatically. Your inventory is checked at the moment of purchase, so an item you no longer have can't be bought.
If something changed about the item after the sale (you traded it elsewhere, listed it on the Steam Market, moved it into a storage unit, removed a name tag, used a StatTrak swap), Steam treats it as a different item. The extension can't prepare the offer, and Steam cancels any offer you sent. If the item is still in your inventory, try sending the offer again. If you can't, the sale fails when the timer ends and counts as your fault; support can't step in here.
The sale is cancelled and the buyer gets a fine of 4% of the sale price and a warning. You aren't fined.
Buyers see each seller's median trade time and successful trade percentage, along with their total number of trades, on every listing. These are calculated automatically from your sales; there are no reviews or ratings.
Sellers who meet all three conditions become top-rated automatically and get a star badge on their listings:
Yes. If you turn on privacy in your store settings, your listings stay on the market, but your name and profile aren't shown as the seller and your store link shows no listings.
To keep the market free of listings that will never sell, listings far above market value are blocked automatically. The only way past the block is to complete identity verification (KYC) and set up your Stripe payout account. Using overpriced listings to move balance between accounts is prohibited and gets the account permanently closed.
For times you can't keep an eye on your sales (travel, holidays). While Away mode is on, all your listings are hidden from everyone and nobody can buy them, so you won't be fined over a sale you didn't notice. Turn it off and your listings come back. You switch it on and off from your store page.
A private listing doesn't appear on the market or in search; only someone with the link can buy it. It's handy when you want to sell an item to a specific person. The sale fee and rules are the same as a normal listing.
It isn't gone. The offer amount stays locked in your pending balance until the offer is accepted, declined, cancelled or expires. If the seller doesn't respond, you can cancel your offer after 30 minutes and get the amount back.
Trade Frogs CS2 Assistant (opens in a new tab) is the Chrome extension that verifies sellers' trades. While your browser is open, it checks your Steam trade offers every few minutes and tells TradeFrogs whether the buyer has accepted. It can also prepare the offer for a sold item. You need it installed to sell.
The extension only sends the minimum needed to verify a sale, such as whether an offer was accepted. It doesn't move your Steam account's private information to TradeFrogs.
The extension installs from the Chrome Web Store and runs in desktop Chrome. Because verification happens while your browser is open, the computer with the extension needs to be on during the days you're selling.
After the buyer accepts the offer, your income sits in pending balance until Steam's trade protection ends, usually 8 days. Then it moves to your withdrawable balance. The reason: Steam lets accepted trades be reversed for 7 days, so the money only goes to the seller once the trade is final.
Amounts you can't use or withdraw yet: sale income still under trade protection, and offers waiting for an answer. If a fine is larger than your balance, the remainder shows here as a negative amount. Your transaction history shows each entry's effect on balance and on pending balance in separate columns.
Steam allows it, but if you reverse a trade you sent for a TradeFrogs sale, your account is permanently closed, that sale's income is forfeited and the buyer is refunded.
If you reverse the trade for an item you bought, your account is permanently closed and the amount tied to that purchase is forfeited.
Some sales can't be verified automatically, for example when the item doesn't show in either inventory. In such a sale the buyer can dispute the seller's "delivered" report. The system then verifies the delivery while keeping both sides' privacy. If the delivery is confirmed, the disputing buyer's account is closed.
You deposit with a Visa, Mastercard or American Express card through Stripe. Pick a preset amount ($25, $50, $100, $250, $500) or enter your own. Before paying you agree to the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy.
Card deposits usually reach your balance instantly. Some payments go to Stripe's risk review and take a little longer.
Norway and countries under US sanctions aren't supported. This list isn't complete and can change without notice. Withdrawals have their own country requirement.
If you haven't spent your deposit on the site, you can ask support for a refund to your card; it takes 5–10 business days. Trades you accepted on Steam are final and aren't refunded. The amount of a purchase that wasn't delivered already returns to your balance automatically. Details: Refund Policy.
Contact support first; most problems are solved there. A chargeback opened without contacting support counts as unauthorized: your account is suspended or closed and the resulting costs are passed on to you. An account closed over a chargeback isn't reopened.
No. Balance can't be moved between accounts, including indirectly through overpriced listings. Such transfers are detected automatically and the account is permanently closed. Your TradeFrogs balance isn't a bank account and isn't covered by deposit insurance.
The fine comes out of your balance first. Whatever is left is recorded as a negative amount in your pending balance: with a $3 balance and a $5 fine, your balance becomes $0 and your pending balance −$2. If you have sale income pending, the fine comes out of that. Your next deposit or verified sale pays off this debt first; until it's paid off, you can't withdraw that amount.
Only your net income from sales; money you deposited by card can't be withdrawn. For example, with $20 of net sale income and a $10 deposit, you can withdraw up to $20. Any fine debt is subtracted. The withdrawal page shows your withdrawable balance separately.
Before your first withdrawal, set up your Stripe account from the Withdraw page. Your identity, bank and tax details go straight to Stripe; TradeFrogs doesn't see them. After setup, enter the amount, choose the method and confirm. You can follow your Stripe account status and payouts through the Stripe dashboard link on the same page.
TradeFrogs doesn't charge for withdrawals. Stripe's exchange rate margin applies when your money is converted to your local currency. Your bank may charge its own fee for incoming transfers.
Withdrawals go to bank accounts only. You can withdraw to bank accounts in countries where Stripe supports payouts; the money arrives in your account's local currency, converted by Stripe. If your country isn't supported for payouts, you can still buy and sell, but you can't withdraw.
$5. If Stripe's minimum for your country is higher, that applies instead, converted to USD and rounded up to the next $5.
Not for most withdrawals. Withdrawals above a certain amount require a one-time identity verification (KYC); once done, you won't be asked again. The details Stripe asks for during setup are separate.
Check the payout's expected arrival date in your Stripe dashboard. Transfers to banks outside the US usually take 3–5 business days, and over 10 in some countries; your bank may need 1–2 more business days after that date. If it still hasn't arrived, check your bank details; a wrong account number is the most common cause. Then contact support or Stripe.
Stripe payouts to accounts outside the US can stay pending for up to 24 hours. Once the payout is sent, you can follow its arrival date in your Stripe dashboard.
Signing in with your Steam account is enough. Your account is personal and can't be shared. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's approval; if identity verification is needed, the parent does it.
Notifications arrive by email and browser notification. In the Notifications tab of your profile you choose which ones you get: item sold, offer received, trade offer sent, trade verified, price drop on an item you watch. Security and account notifications are always sent.
To avoid missing a sale, save your email address and allow browser notifications. If browser notifications don't arrive, allow notifications for tradefrogs.com in your browser settings.
2FA is optional; turn it on or off from your profile. If you lost your device, sign in with your recovery code. If you don't have the recovery code either, contact support.
Change it from your profile; you need access to your old email address. If you don't have access, contact support.

Otherwise you won't be asked to verify.
No. One identity can be linked to only one account. Accounts that verify with someone else's identity are permanently closed.
The reasons usually aren't shared. If you think it's a mistake, open a support ticket.
Accounts that break the rules repeatedly (missing sales, declining offers and the like) face listing removal, a temporary suspension or permanent closure, depending on how serious and how frequent the violations are. You can appeal these decisions with a support ticket.
Accounts closed for these reasons are never reopened: reversing a trade (seller, buyer), an unauthorized chargeback, verifying with someone else's identity, moving balance between accounts. A permanently closed account's balance is forfeited and no new account can be opened.

Open a ticket on the Support page. Tickets are answered within 24 hours, in English or Turkish.
